This Privacy Policy describes how Hustlr ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1. Information You Provide Directly
- Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your first name, last name, and username. We also collect your phone number or email address for authentication. As part of your profile, we collect your responses to our initial questionnaire. Your username and profile picture (if you provide one) may be publicly visible on leaderboards.
- Payout & Financial Information: To facilitate payouts for earnings, we partner with Stripe, Inc. ("Stripe"). If you choose to set up payouts, you will be required to provide a primary email address for financial communications. You will then be redirected to Stripe's secure portal to provide further information, which may include your full legal name, address, bank account details, and government-issued identification for "Know Your Customer" (KYC) compliance. We donot see, collect, or store your bank account details or government ID; this information is provided directly to Stripe, and their Privacy Policy applies. We only store a reference to your Stripe account (an account ID) and the payout email you provided.
- In-App Purchase Information: We use Apple's In-App Purchase system to process purchases. We do not directly collect or store your credit card details. Apple handles payment processing, and its privacy policy applies.
- Call Recordings & Transcripts: The core functionality of Hustlr involves recording your simulated sales calls. These recordings and their transcripts are stored on our secure servers to provide you with feedback and analysis.
1.2. Information We Collect Automatically
- Usage & Performance Data: We collect information about how you use the App, such as the scenarios you choose, your scores, your in-app balance and earnings ("MULA"), and your rank on the leaderboard.
- Device and Log Data: We may collect information about your device, including the hardware model and operating system version. Our servers may automatically record non-identifiable information like app crashes and system activity to maintain and improve our service.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To Provide and Maintain the App: To operate our service, including creating your account, tracking your performance, and displaying your username and rank on leaderboards.
- To Facilitate Payouts: We use your Stripe account ID and payout email to process your requested payouts for earnings accumulated in the App. We may use your payout email to contact you regarding important financial transactions or issues with your payout account.
- To Improve and Personalize the App: To understand usage trends, fix bugs, and develop new features.
- To Communicate with You: To send you push notifications or other messages about updates, new features, or service-related matters. You can manage these preferences in your device settings.
- For Legal and Security Purposes: To comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect the security and integrity of our platform.
3. How We Share Your Information
- Publicly on Leaderboards: Your username and profile picture (if provided) are shared publicly within the App on our leaderboards to foster a competitive environment.
- With Our Payment Processor (Stripe): To process payouts, we share your payout email and an internal user ID with Stripe. As noted above, you provide more sensitive financial information directly to Stripe.
- With Third-Party Service Providers: We may share information with vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as cloud hosting providers (e.g., Google Cloud, Vercel) and analytics services.
- For Legal Reasons & Business Transfers: We may disclose your information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or as part of a merger or acquisition.
- Aggregated or De-identified Data: We may share aggregated data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
4. Data Security
We implement reasonable security measures, such as data encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest, and use secure, trusted third-party services for authentication and payments to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. We may retain information for a longer period to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
6. Children's Privacy
Our service is not directed to individuals under the age of 13 (or a higher age threshold where applicable by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information.
