Hustlr, Inc. ("Hustlr", "we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and safeguard your information when you use our website, mobile app, and services (collectively, the "Platform").

By using Hustlr, you agree to the collection and use of your information in accordance with this Policy.

We collect the following types of information:

a. Information You Provide

• Account Information: Name, email, phone number, password, and profile photo.
• Service Details: Job history, preferences, location, licenses (for providers).
• Payment Information: Card and payout details are collected and processed by our payment processor, Stripe. Hustlr does not store your full card number on its servers.
• Identity & Verification: For providers, selfie images and identity/background-check information used to confirm your identity and keep the marketplace safe.
• Communications: Messages between users, support chats, and feedback.

b. Automatically Collected Information

• Device Data: IP address, browser type, device ID, OS, app version.
• Usage Data: Pages visited, time spent, features used, and error logs.
• Location Data: With permission, we collect real-time location for job tracking and local matches.
• Push Notification Tokens: A device token used to deliver notifications you have enabled. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.

c. Third-Party Information

We may receive information from third parties such as:

• Background check providers
• Payment processors
• Social login services (if used)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account
• Facilitate service bookings and payments
• Verify identity and perform background checks
• Improve user experience and platform functionality
• Send service-related updates and promotional messages (you can opt out)
• Process payouts and prepare tax documents, such as 1099 forms for eligible providers
• Ensure safety, prevent fraud, and enforce our policies

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:

a. Other Users

To facilitate bookings and communications (e.g., name, service type, reviews).

b. Third-Party Vendors

For services like payment processing and identity verification (Stripe), push notifications and app analytics (Google Firebase), background checks, customer support, and hosting. These vendors process your information under their own privacy policies.

c. Legal and Safety Obligations

To comply with legal obligations, protect our rights, prevent fraud, or respond to law enforcement requests.

4. Your Choices & Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

a. Access and Correction

You may access, update, or correct your information in your account settings.

b. Data Portability and Deletion

You may request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account and associated data (subject to legal or operational requirements).

c. Opt-Out Options

• Marketing Emails: You may opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link.
• Location Services: You may disable location tracking in your device settings.

d. SMS / Text Messaging

If you opt in by adding and verifying your phone number in Settings, we send SMS messages limited to: (1) one-time verification codes, and (2) service-related notifications about your bookings (such as requests, confirmations, reminders, and status updates). Message frequency varies with your account activity. Message and data rates may apply.

You can stop receiving SMS at any time by disabling SMS notifications in Settings or by replying STOP to any message; reply HELP for help. We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

5. Cookies and Tracking

We use two categories of cookies and similar technologies:

• Essential cookies (always on). Required for the Platform to work — login and authentication, fraud prevention, checkout and payments, security, session handling, and the automatic inactivity logout that signs you out after a period of no activity. These cannot be turned off because the Platform cannot function securely without them.
• Optional cookies (only with your consent). Analytics that help us understand usage and improve the app (such as Vercel Analytics and Google Analytics) and, where applicable, marketing/personalization technologies. These do not run until you opt in, and you can change your choice at any time.

On your first visit we show a cookie banner where you can Accept All, Reject Optional Cookies, or Manage Preferences by category. We honor browser opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC) and Do Not Track — when one is present, optional cookies stay off automatically. Rejecting optional cookies never affects login, checkout, or any essential feature.

We retain personal data as long as necessary to:

• Fulfill service obligations
• Resolve disputes

Inactive accounts may be deleted after a defined period of inactivity.

Hustlr is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we discover such information has been collected, we will delete it promptly.

If you access Hustlr from outside the United States, your data may be transferred and processed in the U.S., where data protection laws may differ from your jurisdiction.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you via email or in-app notifications. Continued use of the Platform after changes indicates acceptance.
